One Down!
Imbue is one man down for the next few days, as Carrie's injured her mouse hand! So it's Craig holding down the fort and juggling projects until further notice. :)

Everything's Under Control
At last our social networking is coming together, all linking up and organised (thanks Josh!) Hopefully this will help us to be a little more efficient in marketing, and keep our clients, friends, and networks up-to-date on what we're upto! Here goes!

Beautiful Restorations
We really do love what we do.
Working on some beautiful photo restorations this evening. Old wedding photos which had deteriorated with age. We've finished one and it looks so lovely, it's like we've wiped away the damage! Can't wait to show our client! x

Nicky Thurgar Logo
Had another great meeting with Nicky Thurgar on Thursday, discussing our designs for her new logo! All are very pleased with how it's turning out, and it shouldn't be long before it's polished to perfection! Looking forward to seeing it being put into practice. x

A Day Outdoors
A laborious day of tree felling, clearing and burning. Whole family reek of smoke and are covered in ash and bits of twig! Here are some shots of the day.

Imbue Spring!
In the past, some people have come up to us and asked, why Imbue? What does it actually mean?
Well... basically it means to instill, inspire or saturate, with a quality, ideal or substance. eg. they imbued my branding with colour and creativity! This is why we felt that it fitted what we do so perfectly!
imbue creative design, imbue life, imbue spring, imbue... all sorts!
How are we imbuing Spring so far? Well, we've finished our new identity for a start, got our site up and running, done a variety of (fairly challenging) photo restorations, done a leaflet drop, got our new business cards printed, caught up with a little e-commerce, attended a business seminar, done a bit of networking, and began our initial designs for Nicky Thurgar's new identity! I feel quite exhilarated! Let's hope that the year continues as it has begun!

Dull day = Mac day
So, as I mentioned before, we've been giving our identity a re-jig, including our website! We didn't learn alot about the ins and outs of web design at uni, so we've had to teach ourselves most of what we know. Much of that was whilst we were putting our first website together, and then when I made my own personal site for my degree work (click here to view it). Each site we've made has been a lengthy process, and our most recent one is no exception! Right this second, we are doing the finishing touches to our online portfolio, collating our work and laying it all out, and once that's all in place we'll be able to go live! Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly!

Exceptional Photographer
Due to our shared creative nature, when it came to deciding on a wedding photographer for our big day, we were a little uncertain. We practice photography on a regular basis, whether in work or just for the sheer enjoyment of it, and would have done our own photography if it were possible! After days of scouring the internet for a local face we could trust with our precious memories, we came across one that really stood out. Nicky Thurgar.
The passion and creativity portrayed through her online portfolio of wedding shoots was very impressive, and just what we were searching for! It was only when we organised a meeting that we found that she even lives in the little countryside village that I grew up in! It was meant to be. Through all of our communication, face-to-face and emails, Nicky came across as professional but approachable and ever so easy to talk to and explain your ideas to. The day itself was no different, and she was thoroughly organised, and made us and all of our guests feel relaxed from beginning to end. What's more, the 285 resulting photos echoed this, and were all we could have hoped for. We can't thank Nicky enough for helping to make our day so special, and capturing some of the best memories of our lives!

Refreshed Identity & Hopes for the Year Ahead
Entering 2011 with a fresh new look, we certainly feel ready for a happy and healthy year! After a beautifully perfect wedding day and returning from our fantastic extended honeymoon travelling down the West Coast of America at the end of 2010, we began giving our identity a little pampering session, ready for the coming year.
Our three years of study at Norwich University College of the Arts definitely taught us a thing or two about working to deadlines and the value of methodical designing, as well as working successfully as a team and independently. However, the real learning curve was running Imbue as a freelance design partnership whilst studying and beyond. Networking and working to live briefs with real clients was invaluable to our development as creatives.
Over the next year we intend to expand our client base, improve the reach of our promotional material, work on all sorts of creative projects, learn, explore, travel, and ofcourse keep loving what we do as a partnership and as partners.
To 2011!
